Things to Make and Do

Sunday Stash #12

February15

This week was a great week package wise. First Paloma’s package, and then Kate’s. Kate is my swap partner from the Fat Quarter Swap over at I’m a ginger monkey, and she sent me these great fat quarters together with really cute buttons, stamps and pendants, all wrap up with little hearts and puppies.

Oh and I got some new fabric from Tony too that I’ll show you soon, but there are still four packages missing so I’ll try and wait for them.

The Owl of Oz

February13

A couple of weeks ago I spotted some cute Wizard of Oz fabric over at Three Kitchen Fairies and fell in love with it. Paloma somehow remembered it, and ask me if I wanted a piece of it. Just like that, can you believe it?! So today I got her package and it’s not only a piece, it’s a half yard!! And not only did she send the fabric, no, there was also the cutest crochet owl ever!

Paloma, you are wonderful and I can’t thank you enough! At the moment I just can stare at the fabric while hugging the owl, so I have no idea what to make with it, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something.

And now I have two favors to ask you. First the baby owl needs a name, don’t you think? So any ideas are welcome. Second, hop over to Paloma’s blog and show her some love. And don’t forget to read her great post about Blogger etiquette and leave a comment with your opinion.

Sunday Stash #11

February8

I hope everybody had a great week, I can’t believe it’s already Sunday. This week was pretty hectic, but I managed to go to my yoga class after 8 weeks of finding an excuse why I don’t have the time to go. It nearly killed me. Anyway, back to fabric. I bought these prints back in September when I started sewing, I’m not sure what I’ll use them for, but somehow they scream apron to me.

Sandy Henderson - Apple Dots in green

Heather Bailey - Peonies in red

Sunday Stash #10

A little bit more of the stash I plan to use in my next quilt, all Amy Butler. And now I’m going back to clean up my appartment *sigh* I’d rather play with my stash.

Sunday Stash #9

January25

I was fabric hunting for my Spring Quilt on Etsy, stumble one this absolutely cute print and had to buy it! The quilt will be mostly green with some pale pinks splashed in and I think this will definitely fit the bill.

Heather Ross West Hill - Tadpoles in Blush

Owls!!!

January21

I won Staci’s give-away and the package arrived today. And not only do I absolutely LOVE the fabric I won, no, Staci also added the owl fabric I was drooling over a few weeks ago on her blog! Staci, you are the best, thank you soooo much! Now I only have to start sewing again before my project list is getting any longer.

Oh and here is a little sneak peak for my Fat Quarter Swap partner, I hope I can make it to the post office tomorrow and I really hope she’ll like it.
